In 2003, the Panthers were able to secure the southern division title of the NFC (National Football Conference) and moved into the playoffs. Fans from both North Carolina and South Carolina were overjoyed when the Panthers were able to enter their way into the Super Bowl XXXVIII against the New England patriots. They were able to improve their record on the 7-9 record in 2007, when the ravens were able to shut down the Dallas Cowboys at Texas Stadium. They tried to get back in the playoffs series since 2005 but they failed. The Carolina Panthers made a profound number of moves before 2006 season. The Panthers made a 12-4 finish tied their best franchise history which occurred in 1996 season.
